A must for every Polaris Toolkit!
The stock tool kit does not include all the necessary tools to remove the clutch cover or replace the belt. The SLP Clutch Cover Removal Tool makes removal and installation of all those hard-to-reach clutch cover screws a breeze. This SLP exclusive utilizes a flexible driver with a high strength magnet machined into the tip. One end of the included double end socket will fit most Polaris UTV's up to 2014 which use a clutch cover screw with 3/8" head. The opposite end of the socket will fit most 2015 and newer models which use a cover screw with 8mm head. The 8mm end will also work on the 5/16" hose clamp head found on many 2015 and newer models, allowing for complete clutch cover removal without any other tools. An absolute must for any Polaris UTV owner when field tuning, changing a belt or in the garage to service the centrifugal clutch system. The high strength magnetic tip is extremely useful on models like the RZR 800, that require the user to feel rather than see the screws that need to be removed or installed. The chance of losing a screw to the skid plate is dramatically reduced.
Note: This Tool will work on the 8mm clutch cover bolts found on most CanAm Commander & Maverick models up to 2017. Most 2018 & newer models use a #30 Torx screw which this tool is NOT compatible with.
Note: This tool will work on the 8mm clutch cover bolts found on 2016-21 RZR Turbo, 2018-22 RS1, & 2020-22 RZR Pro XP models. However, the clutch cover hose clamp has a 1/4" head. SLP #20-311 is more specific to these models with a double end socket that is 8mm on one end and 1/4" on the opposite, which will allow for complete removal of the clutch cover without any other tools.
